Denmark Culture
This clothing is called hygge which means snug. It is particularly worn when relaxing with good friends or loved ones and while enjoying good food.
On St. John’s Eve the Danes often meet with family and friends to have dinner together. If the weather is good they have bonfires and a bonfire speech is often made.
The Little Mermaid statue has stood in Copenhagen since 1913. It was a fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersen. It is one of Denmark’s most popular tourist attraction.

Due to the strong leaning towards egalitarianism in Sweden, competition is not encouraged and children are not raised to believe that they are any more special than any other child.
This is the Swedish National Folk Dress. It was designed by Marta Palme in 1903 to help promote a feeling of national pride.
Leverpalt is a famous dish in Sweden and it means dumplings with liver. Just how Americans like are ketchup and mustard, Sweden’s always use their lingoberry jam.

Fish dishes are extremely popular in Norway. This is Fiskesuppe (fish soup) and is one of the main seafood dishes in Norway.
Finland Culture
The Belarusian Culture is becoming popular in Finland. There is performance of the Kupalinka folk music.
Karelian pasty (karjalanpiirakka) is a traditional Finnish dish made from a thin rye crust with a filling of rice. It is a very popular dish in Finland.
Estonia Culture
This is a Culture Estonian women outfits are characterized by headgear. Women wear a long-sleeved blouse with a jacket.
This is Sauerkraut it is very popular in Estonia. Sauerkraut is jellied meat and blood sausage.
Latvia Culture

This is Cepelania. It is a popular dish in Latvia, they are a type of dumpling made from grated and riced potatoes and usually stuffed with ground meat.
Lithuania Culture
These are Lithuanian folk costumes. They usually consist of aprons embroidered with geometric designs that cover long plaid skirts.
“Užgavėnės” is a Lithuanian festival that takes place on Ash Wednesday. It means “A time for lent.”
Boletus or “Kings of Mushrooms” is a popular dish. Lithuania has a lot of dishes with mushrooms in it.
Iceland Culture
This is Svið or Sheep's head the whole head is eaten, with the exception of the brain. Icelanders say the cheek and tongue are the best part.
This is Upphlutur, or bodice costume. This used to be the everyday dress of Iceland.

Ireland Culture
St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland is very busy. It is a huge celebration around the world, but especially in Ireland. Pubs are very crowded and alcohol is drank a lot.
Bloomsday is celebrated in Ireland. The name “Bloomsday” derives from Leopold Bloom, the protagonist of James Joyce’s novel, Ulysses.
This is soda bread it is a very popular dish in Ireland. Some like it sweet with a spoonful of honey, sugar, or dried fruits.
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Culture
Boxing Day is celebrated right after Christmas. It is about giving to the poor.
Even though Royal Weddings are not annual when they happen, it is celebrated across the UK. They are very big and parties are very popular.
Fish and Chips are very popular in Great Britain. Deep fried fish in a crispy batter with fat golden chips is still one of Britain and Ireland's favorite meals.
